Database of state laws (2000-2024) regulating the carrying of firearms at parades, demonstrations, rallies, and similar events.
Note that to determine whether firearm carrying is allowed or disallowed at such events, users must additionally review state concealed and open carry laws.

METHODS
We conducted a comprehensive legal review of state laws governing firearm carrying at protests and demonstrations from 2000 to 2024. Four law students systematically examined state statutes and regulations using LexisNexis and Westlaw databases. To ensure accuracy, two law students coded each state’s law, and discrepancies were reviewed and resolved by the law students or the principal investigators.
