Julia Schleimer, Ph.D., M.P.H.

Julia Schleimer is a social epidemiologist with expertise in using epidemiologic and causal inference methods to examine how social conditions, community-based interventions, and public policies influence violence across the life course. She works in partnership with interdisciplinary research teams and impacted communities to advance population health equity. Her research spans multiple forms of violence, including community violence and self-directed harm.

Schleimer’s topics of study include early childhood and youth-focused interventions to address structural drivers of violence and promote safety and wellbeing.
